Swan Lake

Introduction:

Swan Lake has thrilled audiences for over 100 years since its creation in 1877. It tells the story of a Prince Siegfried as he falls in love with a beautiful swan maiden called Odette and the couple’s battle with the evil Von Rothbart. Swan Lake is generally presented in 4 acts. Originally choreographed by Julius Reisinger and music composed by Tchaikovsky. The greatest romantic and recognizable ballet of all time.

Summary:

The half-day workshop will begin with a ballet technique class to warm up, followed by repertoire. Rejane will teach Dance of the Cygnets (pas de quatre) and for male Prince Siegfried solo (black swan pas de deux)

The workshop is designed for the adult general level. It is for those who have done at least 2 years of ballet and have a good understanding of the basic classical posture, technique & vocabulary of steps. If you are not sure if this workshop is the right level for you, just ask!
